I HAVE RECENTLY RETURNED FROM A BRIEF TRIP TO MEET WITH ONE OF MY CANADIAN CLIENTS. THE TRIP ALLOWED ME TO DELIVER A NUMBER OF FINISHED GARMENTS AND CARRY OUT FITTINGS FOR A VICUÑA OVERCOAT AND AND A FORMAL SCOTTISH ENSEMBLE.
This was my first visit to Vancouver, a beautiful city that reminded me in many ways of my home town of Sydney, probably because both are blessed by their stunning harbour side locations.
I was also able to visit the resort town of Whistler, which hosted a number of the events in the recently completed 2010Winter Olympics.
The beautiful scenery, wonderful food and wine, and the warm and generous hospitality of my host all made for an exceptionally enjoyable and memorable trip.
Born in 1949 and christened John Handel Lawson Cutler, I am the fourth generation of my family to take up the tailor's shears. I joined the family business straight from school at 16 years of age. Even before then I had always shown a very keen interest in bespoke tailoring and shirt making.
